Pulse Routine: Hand Tremor Management

Using the Pulse to Support Hand Tremor Management

A Supportive Guide for Hand Tremor Management

This guide is educational and supportive in nature. It is not a medical treatment and does not replace care from a healthcare provider.

For those dealing with hand tremors, there are two placements that practitioner's typically recommend using:

The first way is by strapping our device directly to the affected hand (see image below).

The second way is by wearing our device like a wristwatch on the wrist. While you can wear it on either wrist, it's suggested to experiment with both to see which placement works best for you and your body. See placement example below.

Now...what settings should you try?

There’s research that’s found vibration therapy to reduce tremors when the user is holding it in the palm of their hand with their fingers around it. We suggest our Recovery Type 2 setting, since this operates at a high frequency that’s similar to the scientific literature that's shown efficacy for desynchronizing abnormal neuron firing. If this doesn’t work well, we also suggest our Rehab -> Sensory Feedback & Tissue Health -> Direct setting. This operates at a very low frequency that's been shown to improve sensory feedback and reduce essential tremors.

How long should you use it?

We recommend wearing our device for up to an hour at a time while resting, moving, or whenever else you see fit throughout your day.
